The Chiefs are absolutely abysmal. On Monday Night Football, the Chiefs were spotted a 10-point lead and the Steelers lost their starting quarterback, yet the Chiefs still couldn’t get the job done. How much more of a gift do they want?
The Cincinnati Bengals are just 4-5 on the season but caught a break on Monday Night Football. The Kansas City Chiefs, whom the Bengals play this week, injured Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and he could be out a while.

The Steelers currently hold the sixth and final playoff spot in the AFC, and the Bengals are trying to catch them.
The Bengals are hoping the Chiefs do them another favor on Sunday and lay down. The Bengals are a 3.5 point favorite on the NFL odds at Bovada.
The Bengals can win because:

The Chiefs are just shooting themselves in the foot in every possible way. They drop key passes, throw interceptions, take bonehead penalties to extend drives, botch special-teams plays and suffer from poor coaching. You’d be hard-pressed to find a team that’s playing worse right now.
The Bengals aren’t great, but at least they are competent. Andy Dalton is playing with confidence and the passing game seems to be pretty fluid with A.J. Green and a cast of young receivers.
This won’t be a tough game for the Bengals to win. All they have to do is make sure they don’t make any stupid mistakes and let the Chiefs self-destruct. But, will they do so and spoil your NFL picks for the game?
The Chiefs can win because:
The Bengals aren’t really that good, especially on the road.
Cincinnati did manage an impressive win over the New York Giants last week but the G-Men are slumping right now. Prior to that, the Bengals were on a four-game losing streak, which included losses to Cleveland and Miami.
On the year, the Bengals have wins against Cleveland, Jacksonville and Washington. That evidence doesn’t suggest that this is a quality team or that they are good enough to go on the road and get the job done.
While the Chiefs offense is pathetic, their defense continues to keep them in games. They are ranked 11th in total defense and if their offense can stop putting them in bad positions, they should keep the Chiefs within striking distance.
Outlook & NFL Football Betting Prediction:
Talk about a messy game to bet. On one hand, the Chiefs are brutal – especially on offense – and they are on a short week after a deflating loss on Monday Night Football. At the same time, the Bengals have been mediocre this season, have lost four of five, and are laying points on the road.
Picking a side is too painful in this matchup. I see a low-scoring contest, so I will stick with the under.
