Reason:

As of right now, both teams are struggling on defense. Even though Giants have the better of the pass rush, both sides secondary are very questionable. The Giants, even though have a much better pass rush, their secondary is absolutely horrible. In two games they have allowed almost 60 points! This doesn’t get any better because none of their injured CB’s have returned yet. With the news of Nicks being out, Bradshaw out and Diehl out. This game is a gift for the Carolina Panthers. The Giants are using rookie CBs, rookie running backs and also are thin on their WR core with only Cruz. Bennette has impressed me lately but he is inconsistant.

Carolina has not impressed me at all but the return of one of their running backs has given them new hope. Newton has not grown in my eyes from last year and seems to be struggling at times on where to throw the ball; yet that is not something new. Look out for a shoot it up type of game. Last year the Giants didn’t do well with Bradshaw and I expect the same type of thing this year. Since the Giants won’t rely heavily on the run game tonight, expect this game to be blown up on the stats.
