NFL Betting: NFC Future Odds & Predictions

Who are the NFL odds makers predicting to win the NFC Championship this season? Find out which teams we believe hold the best betting value.

NFL NFC Future Odds and Picks
The NFL season is just over two months away, and kick off between the Cowboys and Giants on opening night will be here before you know it. That’s why we here at SBR Forum are bringing you future NFL odds for the NFC champ in the NFL. The NFC should be the power conference in the NFL this season, as there are several teams, including the defending champs that will be in the mix. However, the Giants aren’t even in the top five odds favorites to take the NFC this season. Let’s take a look at some of the favorites as the odds makers rank them and see if they have any value this early in the preseason.
Green Bay Packers +250
Aaron RodgersEven though they lost in the first round of the playoffs last season, the Packers find themselves as the odds on favorites to win the NFC. They have everything they need to do it. Their defense will be much improved from last season, and their offense is as deadly as ever. Although the Packers are the favorites, I can’t justify putting money on them at this point. They are a great team, but their division is the toughest in the NFC, and they will have plenty on competition.
Philadelphia Eagles +400
The Eagles are back to being the hyped team that didn’t live up to expectations last season, but this season is looking up for the Eagles. They have another full season of Michael Vick, (if healthy) and they are still one of the most talented teams in the NFL. Their offense should once again play well, and if their defense can continue to improve they will be challenging to beat.
San Francisco 49ers +400
Tied with the Eagles for second place are the NFC runner ups from last season. The 49ers could not get past the eventual Super Bowl champion Giants in the NFC championship game, and come into this season reloaded and ready for another shot. Even though I’m still hesitant to give the go ahead, this could be a team that wins the NFC. If Alex Smith can continue to grow and correctly manage games, this team has the lock down defense, and now the offensive weapons to get to the Super Bowl.
New Orleans Saints +700
If you don’t put much stock in the fact that they will be without their head coach and signal caller this season, the Saints might just hold the best value of any NFC team. They would be right up there with the Packers if the bounty scandal didn’t rock them. The Saints’ offense is arguably the best in the NFC, and if their interim signal caller can be half the signal caller that Sean Peyton was, the Saints will be in the NFC championship game.
Chicago Bears +900
Rounding out the top 5 are my Chicago Bears. The Bears have stocked up on talent this offseason, and with the exception of their disgruntled running back, everything is looking up in Bears’ country. Jay Cutler is going to have to take a big leap up in his playing ability if the Bears want to win the NFC, but they are two seasons and one injury removed from the NFC Title game, so it’s not that hard to believe. If Matt Forte can suck it up and take the seven million dollars he has ben offered, and Cutler can limit his mistakes, this team can go as far as any of the above mentioned.
